A nephew of Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury committed suicide at his residence at Nakla upazila in
Sherpur district on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Md Delwar Hossain (Sampad) ,40, son of Alhaj Bodiul Islam at Isibpur village in Nakla upazila under Sherpur district.
Sources said Delwar Hossain (Sampad) was mentally depressed at about his familial feud and business affairs.
He entered in his bed room on Tuesday noon. He did not come out of his room after that. On Wednesday his wife Lipi Begum called on him repeatedly but no response came out from the room . Lipi Begum became suspected and she knew this other members of the family. The family members informed at Nakla thana. Nakla thana police rushed hurriedly to the spot. The police men broke the door and found Sampad’s dead body hanging with the ceiling fan.
Police Super Md Mehedul Karim, civil surgeon Narayan Chandra Dey and high officials of administration visited the spot.
Officer in charge of Nakla thana Golam Haider said a UD case was filed in Nakla thana in this connection.
