Visiting Nepalese Army Chief General Rajendra Chhetri made a courtesy call with Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq at army headquarters in the city on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they discussed about training and different professional aspects of the armed forces of the two countries, said an ISPR release on Thursday.
Earlier, the Nepalese army chief paid respect to valiant members of the armed forces, who had laid down their lives during the great war of liberation in 1971, through placing wreaths at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment.
Later, the Nepalese Army Chief was given a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of Bangladesh Army at Senakunja.
The members of visiting army delegation also met with President Abdul Hamid, acting Navy Chief, Chief of Air Staff and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division.
