Promising striker Anjan Bista scored a brace saw host Nepal to enter the coveted final of the 1st SAFF U-19 Championship beating Afghanistan by 3-2 goals in the keenly contested first semifinal held on Thursday at the ANFA Complex Saldobato in Lalitpur, Nepal.
Sunil Bal netted the another goal for the winning side. The prolific striker Anjan opened an account for Nepal in the 34th minute and doubled the lead scoring his second goal in the 39th minute. After the resumption,
Ananta Tamag pulled one back for Afghanistan in the 50th minute while Sunil Bal further widened the margin for Nepal in the 53rd minute. Mehdi Rezayee scored the second goal for Afghanistan in the 72nd minute.
