Nepal may airlift fuel from BD

Nepal is planning to airlift fuel from other countries, including Bangladesh, after India reportedly stopped supply of petroleum products about two weeks ago, Chinese agency Xinhua said.
The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) held an emergency meeting yesterday and discussed about airlifting of fuel from Bangladesh in the short run and from China in the long run. However, no formal decision has been made yet.
The state-owned NOC was doing necessary work
 to ensure smooth fuel supply by airlifting after the Nepal government directed the firm to seek alternatives, Xinhua reported.
Nepal has been hit hard by the shortage of petroleum products and essential goods after India halted all the supplies a fortnight ago. India has however desired of halting fuel supplies to Nepal been denying the accusation.
The Himalayan nation depends heavily on India for its fuel.
