Ishtiaque said not being able to cope up with pressure and letting go off in public and making media the scapegoat is not necessarily the most sensible thing to do in moments of crisis.

Needless to say that the best combination is imperative in any format of the game but to rely on so many youngsters at the same time would be wishful thinking.
The new inclusions to the 15 member squad may all have performances behind their call ups but it is also a fact that some of the old faces haven’t really been up to the mark.
Anamul Haque, Nasir Hossain, Imrul Kayes and others have been abject failures and hence the attention was drawn towards the players from the under 19 levels and performers during the recently concluded BPL. Sakib Al Hasans absence will be hugely felt yet again as the dynamic all rounders dual role can hardly be matched.
The fact that Mahmudullah Riyadh has been chosen over Tamim Iqbal yet again comes as no big surprise as the experienced campaigner with a calm head on his shoulders can take the team over troubled waters more so as a successful T20 captain.
How the captain extracts the best out of the likes of Afif Hossain, Ariful Haque, Zakir Hasan and Abu Zayed remains to be seen but the teams success still largely depends on the form of Tamil Iqbal. There is no greater delight in cricket once Soumya Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal are in full flight as the two have been known to set the stands alight with their belligerence.
One would hope though that Soumya Sarkar continues his good work and makes the opening position his own as his talent is unmistakable and to prove his mentor Haturasinghe right is not something the Sri Lankan coach would bargain for. Sri Lanka on the other hand would be clear favourites as they are not only the better side of the two but some exciting new comers and Thisera Perera ought to be a handful against the local side.
A fantastic opportunity for Mahmudullah Riyadh and co: and an ideal platform to test so many youngsters will indeed make the two matches T20 series an exhilarating one.
