Tax payers will be able to submit their income tax returns on December 1 (Sunday) as the last date of submission, November 30, is a weekly holiday.
The last date for submitting income tax returns was fixed on November 30 but the deadline has now been extended till December 1 as November 30 is a weekly holiday, according to a directive issued by National Board of Revenue to its field office on November 24.
Meanwhile, the National Income Tax Day will be celebrated across the country on November 30, said the NBR.
The letter signed by Kalipada Halder, member of tax administration, also instructed the concerned offices and circles to ensure that taxpayers can submit their tax returns in a congenial environment on December 1.
