National Bank Limited has launched a new loan scheme ‘Daridro Mukti’ for the marginal and lower income generating people at a press conference on Tuesday in the Board Room of the Bank at Shimanto Square in Dhanmondi.

At the press conference Zainul Haque Sikder said that from the inception of National Bank Limited it’s serving people towards their financial freedom. Following the efforts NBL is going to launch an easy terms and condition based new loan product `DARIDRO MUKTI’ for the financial freedom of the destitute people.
Zainul Haque Sikder spoke that the proposed loan product has made as easiest for marginal businessmen for allowing the credit facility in favour of them. The loan `DARIDRO MUKTI’ has introduced to address small entrepreneur and professionals, small and cottage industries, handicraft, marginal and landless farmers.
These entrepreneurs, professionals and farmers can open their Bank Account depositing only10.00 taka. Such as Potter, blacksmith, fisherman, tailors, flower-seller, hawker, fruit-seller, vegetable- seller, rickshaw puller / van puller, small & cottage industries, weavers, bakery items manufactures, marginal businessmen and farmers of the under privileged areas will be able to enjoy the security free and easily available loan facility.
The loan facility will be revolving or for maximum 18 (eighteen) months validity @ 5.00% simple interest rate per annum and Tk. 1.00 lac (maximum) will be granted to each customer.
At the press conference AFM Shariful Islam, Managing Director of the Bank urge upon the destitute people of these areas who are passing their life in very poorly to take the opportunity to avail and enjoy the loan. By dint of which they will be able to involve in income generating activities and remove and alleviate poverty improving their lives towards contributing overall development of the country.
