The leaders of the National Bar Association of Bangladesh on Wednesday demanded to enhance the allocation for the Judiciary in the national budget. If the allocation is enhanced, the case backlog will be reduced, they think.
Advocate Shah Md Khasruzzaman, President of the National Bar Association, and other leaders of the organization demanded this in a press conference organised in the
office of the Law Reporters Forum (LRF) in the Supreme Court premises.
They also requested the government to deposit one percent of court-fee in the benevolent fund of the lawyers’ association across the country.
National Bar Association’s Vice-President Advocate Shamsul Jalal Chowdhury and Advocate K M Jabir, Assistant Secretary Advocate Md Kamal Hossain Miah and Executive Member Advocate Sabina Yeasmin Lipi, among others, were present in the occation.
