On the occasion of the 123rd birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, Channel i organised a day-long
event titled ‘Oikko.com-Channel i Nazrul Mela’ on the
channel’s premises in the capital’s Tejgaon area on May 25.
Director and Head of News of Channel i Shykh Seraj
said that Nazrul Institute got special honour their
contributions to the field of Nazrul Sangeet this year.
Director of Channel i and Impress Group and also Chairman of Prokriti O Jibon Foundation Mukit
Mazumder Babu joined the event through video message.
This year’s Nazrul Mela featured performances of Nazrul Sangeet by young and veteran singers, dance dramas, children’s dances and recitations of Kazi Nazrul Islam’s poems.
There were also book stalls in the fair. Directed by Amirul Islam, Apu Mahfuz, Dilruba Sathi and Shafi Ahmed hosted
the event which was aired on Channel i live.
