The government has decided to appoint Md. Nazrul Islam, currently serving as the Director General of Multilateral Economic Affairs Wing in foreign ministry, as the new Bangladesh Ambassador to Ethiopia.
Ambassador-designate Islam is a career diplomat belonging to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre, a press release said .
In his diplomatic career, Islam served in various capacities in Bangladesh Missions in Rome, Kolkata and Geneva while at the headquarters in Dhaka he worked in various capacities in different Wings.
He obtained his Masters in International Relations from Dhaka University and had undergone higher studies and trainings in France and The Netherlands.
