Md Nazrul Islam, an officer of the BCS (information) Cadre who is enjoying post-retirement leave (PRL), has been appointed as the ‘Speech Writer’ at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on an contractual basis.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
“Md Nazrul Islam has been given appointment to the post of the ‘Speech Writer’ at the Prime Minister’s Office in the status and salary of a secretary of the government on an contractual basis from the joining of the date till the tenure of the Prime Minister or subject to her satisfaction (which happens earlier) on condition of cancelling post-retirement leave,” the notification said.
The conditions of the appointment will be fixed by the approved agreement, and this order will come into effect immediately.
Nazrul Islam earlier served as the Additional Press Secretary and Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime Minister as well as Bangladesh Betar in different capacities.
