On the occasion of 38th death anniversary of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Nazrul Academy arranged a three-day programme at Nazrul Bhaban at Belalabad in the city’s Moghbazar area recently.
In the morning of the Poet’s death anniversary on Bhadra 12, the three-day programme began by placing wreaths on the graveyard of the Poet.
On second day, granddaughter of Nazrul Khilkhil Kazi formally inaugurated the event at Moghbazar Girls’ High School where general secretary of Nazrul Academy Mintu Rahman, Principal of the school Nishat Afroz, Academy’s teacher ABM Siddiqur Rahman, students of the school, among others, were present.
On the concluding day, a discussion meeting and cultural function were held at Nazrul Bhaban chaired by Principal of the Academy Khalid Hossain.
Therefore, Shahabuddin Khan, Syed Hossain Sayeed, Reza Matin, among others, were present on the occasion.
Later Khalid Hossain, Mintu Rahman, Mahtabul Alam, teachers and students of the Academy rendered Nazrul songs in the programme.
