On the occasion of 116th birth anniversary of our National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Nazrul Academy orgnaised a four-day programme at the National Muisc and Dance Centre Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha area recently.
The Academy also celebrates 44th founding anniversary of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.
Granddaughter of Kazi Nazrul Islam Khilkhil Kazi inaugurated the four-day event on the opening day. Later General Secretary of Nazrul Academy Mintu Rahman read out an article of Nazrul Sangeet where noted Nazrul singer Sujit Mostafa, Prof Dr Nashid Kamal, Md Yaqub Ali Khan also took part in discussion.
Noted Nazrul singers and singers, students and teachers of Nazrul Academy took part in four-day programme. They rendered Nazrul songs and performed dances in the festival.
