Habibur Rahman is a noted playwright. He had fascination about cultural activities during childhood. In 1997, his written first novel Shudhu Tomake Bhalobasi was
published in Ekushey Book Fair.
His written 14 volumes books both in Bengali and English were published in Banglapedia. Asiatic Society of Bangladesh published these books. After reducing demand of books, Habibur Rahman has concentrated to write television dramas. After airing on TV channels, his written four dramas have already received appreciation from the viewers. These dramas are: Byabodhan, Bhool, Anutopto and Borolok Hote Chai. As a part of its continuation, this time noted director Salauddin Lavlu has made a drama titled Moner Sukh under the story written by Habibur Rahman. Shooting of the drama took place in Pubail, Gazipur recently. Popular actors Ahsan Habib Nasim and Naznin Hasan Chumki played in two lead roles in this drama.
While talking about making the drama, director Salauddin Lavlu said, “Before making any drama, my first condition is story of the drama must be good and there must have a message in the story. These are found in the drama Moner Sukh. Though this drama is based on urban story but overall thinking I decided to do its shooting in Pubail. It is no doubt both Chumki and Nasim are good actors. I hope viewers will enjoy the drama. This drama will be aired on a TV channel. Then it will be also released on a YouTube channel.”
Actor Nasim shared his feelings by this way, “Under the direction of Lavlu Bhai, I first acted in TV Koinnya. Later, I acted in a drama titled The Director. After taking a few years break, I have acted in his directed drama Moner Sukh. Though storyline is simple but family story and personal emotion are the main strength of this drama. I have always good experience with Lavlu Bhai in case of work. I hope viewers will enjoy the drama.”
Naznin Chumki said, “In last Eid-ul-Fitr, I worked in a drama directed by Salauddin Lavlu Bhai. Acting life is interesting. In one side, Lavlu Bhai is an actor while in another side, he is a director. Nasim Bhai acted with me in roles of boyfriend, brother and husband. Playwright Habib Bhai wrote story of this drama nicely. Lavlu Bhai is still cordial as he gives direction during shooting so nicely. We, the actors, want this.”
