This time viewers will watch versatile actress Naznin Chumki to play the self-titled role in a drama Gouri. Main concept of the drama was given by Sohag Ahmed while Swadhin Shah wrote script of it. Bornonath gave direction
of the drama. Naznin Chumki took part
in the shooting of the drama.
While talking about acting in the drama Naznin Chumki said, “The trend of women in Bangladesh to move forward lonely and mindset of males to them regarding the issue is the main theme of the story of the drama Gouri. Director Bornonath tried to give his level best effort while giving direction of the drama. We, who worked in the drama, gave huge effort to make the drama successful. I believe viewers will enjoy the drama, which will be aired in a TV channel during upcoming Durga Puja.”
Meanwhile, Naznin Chumki is also acting in BTV’s new drama serial titled Pother Dharapat. Mannan Shafiq is giving direction of this serial. Chumki informed that this serial will go on air soon on BTV. National Film Award winner actress Naznin Chumki has been acting with theatre group, Desh Natok since 1996.
Chumki got appreciation for acting theatre plays Nittyo Puran, Birsakabbyo, Loha, Jolbasor, etc. Je Jibon Foringer Doyeler was Chumki-directed her first television drama. She last gave direction of drama titled Piu Ekti Pakhir Jibon. Tanveer Mokammel’s Lalon was Chumki-starrer her debut movie. Later, she also acted in Kazi Morshed’s movie Ghani. She got the National Film Award for acting in this movie.
