Advocate Nazmus Saadat and Advocate Jamshed Ali were elected President and General Secretary respectively of the Rajshahi Advocate Bar Association in its annual election held here Thursday.
Other elected office-bearers are: Vice-presidents- AKM Mizanur Rahman,
Mahbubul Alam and Mukhlesur Rahman Swapan, Joint- secretaries- Sajeman Ali and Shamsul Haque, Account- secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Library- Abdul Malek Rana, Audit-secretary- Mahmudur Rahman Ruman, Magazine and Cultural Secretary- Rajab Ali, Press and Information Abdur Razzaque Sarker and Members- Adiluzzaman, Jalaluddin, Jahangir Alam, Iftekhar Hamid, Selim Reja Masum, Sifat Jerin Tuli, Apurba Bhattachariya, Syeda Morjina Khatun and Nasira Banu Rita.
In two panels, a total of 42 candidates contested in the election for the 21 executive posts of the association.
Some 506 out of 543 voters cast their votes in the election.
