A court here on Sunday sent BNP leader Barrister Nazmul Huda to jail in a graft case.
Judge of Dhaka Special Judge Court-2 HM Ruhul Imran passed the order after rejecting his bail petition.
Earlier in the day, Nazmul Huda surrendered before the court and filed a petition seeking bail in the case.
Besides, the court also granted the petition seeking medical treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Division in the jail.
Earlier,on November 8, the High Court commuted former Communications Minister Nazmul Huda’s seven years’ imprisonment to four years in the graft case.
