Nazma Akhtar and Advocate Apu Ukil have been reelected President and General Secretary (GS) respectively of Jubo Mohila League, a women youth front of ruling Awami League (AL).
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader announced the names at the second session of the association’s 2nd National Council at Krishibid Institution at Farmgate in the city on Saturday.
Earlier, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council of the ruling party’s women youth front releasing pigeons and balloons.
Besides, new committee of Dhaka City North and South units of the association were also announced.
Sabina Akhtar Tuhin and Tahera Khatun Lutfa were elected President and General Secretary respectively of Dhaka City North unit of Jubo Mohila League while Farida Yasmin Jhuma and Nilufar Yasmin were elected President and General Secretary respectively of Dhaka City South unit of the association.
Founded in 2002, Jubo Mohila League held its first council on March 5, 2004 electing Nazma Akhtar and Apu Ukil President and General Secretary respectively.
