Six leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were arrested from Sutrapur of the city in connection with alleged involvement in Nayapaltan clash.
Police identified them as HK Hossain Ali, JCD President post aspirant of Ward No. 11, Shohagh Bhuiyan,
General Secretary of Shajahanpur thana unit, Mohammad Abbas Ali, a member of JCD Central Committee, Md Ashraful Islam Robin, Joint General Secretary of Dhaka North Unit, Jakir Hossain Ujjal, Joint Secretary of Jagannath University Unit and Mahbubul Alam, Vice-President of Titumir College Unit.
Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit officials arrested the six JCD men from Sutrapur area in Dhaka after they were identified from video footage and monitoring social media sites, CTTC Chief Monirul Islam said in a press briefing at the DMP media centre on Wednesday afternoon.
