As per details, the decision was taken by after a party meeting of PML-N members chaired by Nawaz Sharif concluded. Reports suggested that an interim prime minister will be brought in to fill the vacuum who will be appointed for 45 days before Shehbaz is elected. The meeting deliberated on the names of the interim prime minister. Sources claimed that the names of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq were under consideration for the post. Nawaz Sharif was disqualified on Friday by the country’s apex court in the Panama Papers disclosure case. While opposition parties praised the decision of the Supreme Court, PML-N said that justice had not been done.
