Contractors of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), Nawabganj Upazila in Dhaka in a statement to the press said, a vested quarter has been hatching conspiracy publishing false and fabricated news in different Bengali and English daily newspapers regarding different projects of LGED including GDP-3, PEDP,-3, 4 and RTIP-2 .
They said, the works of LGED are monitored by authority concerned and standard is maintained but the news which was published in The Bangladesh Today and Bangladesher Alo were baseless and motivated
A total of 19 contractors including Md Anisuzzaman , Kamruzzaman , Md Faruk , Abu Yousuf Md Rasel and Proshanto Adhikar signed the statement. They slated the false news in the statement .
