The annual Kirat and Azan competitions of Bangladesh Navy were held at the mosque of Hazi Mohsin naval base at Dhaka Cantonment on Friday.
At the concluding day of the five day event, Assistant Navy Chief Rear Admiral Mohammad Saiful Kabir distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
High officials of Navy and a huge number of seamen were present.
A total of 33 competitors from different ships and naval bases of the Bangladesh Navy took part in the competitions.
In Kirat competition, M Seul Islam of the Petrol Craft Squadron team stood first, MM Uddin, of the same team was second and M Abdal Hossen of Bangladesh Navy Ship (BNS) Shahid Moazzem team became third.
On other hand, YA Rasel of BNS Hazi Mohsin obtained first position, MA Aziz and M Yousuf Khan jointly stood second and M T Islam of BNS Mongla became third in the Azan competition.
