Bangladesh Navy Chess maintained solo lead in the points table with maximum 14 points after 8th or the penultimate round games of the Walton Home Appliance Premier Division Chess League now being held at the Media Center of Bangladesh Olympic Association.
In the day’s 8th round match held on Wednesday, Bangladesh Navy beat Sultana Kamal Smirity Pathagar by 4-0 points and they need draw to win the league title.
Reigning champions Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited placed in 2nd position with 12 points while Titas Club Chess Team is in 3rd position with 10 points.
Besides, Bangladesh Navy Junior Chess Team beat Fire-Service & Civil Defense Sports Club by 3-1 points.
