Bangladesh Navy (BN) conducting regular patrols at 18 coastal upazilas across the country after its deployment on December 4 as the striking force marking the coming 11th parliamentary election. A total of 5,000 BN members were deployed in the coastal areas, BN official sources told BSS.
In this regards, five ships- Suravi, Ali Haider, Atandra, Nirmul and Padma- were deployed at Sandwip, Saint Martin, Hatia, Barguna and Bhola respectively, it added.
The BN members are working at Bhola Sadar, Borhanuddin, Dowlatkhan, Tojumuddin, Lalmohan, Char Fashion, Monpura, Sandwip, Hatia, Kutubdia, Teknaf, Barguna Sadar, Amtali, Taltali, Bamna, Betagi, Patharghata and Mongla, said the BN press release.
