Outgoing Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed made a farewell call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gonobhaban here on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister appreciated Admiral Nizamuddin for his excellent service to the naval force as its chief, PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
Admiral Nizamuddin expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for her support to him in performing duty during his tenure and strengthening the naval force.
Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, who assumed the command of Bangladesh Navy as the Chief of Naval Staff on January 27, 2016, will go on retirement on January 26, 2019.
