Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury left Dhaka for Turkey and Russia on Sunday on a six-day official visit.
During his visit, he will pay courtesy call on the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Naval Forces Command, Admiral Adnan Ozbal and Chief of Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Gen Yasar Guler, said an ISPR press release.
He will also call on the President of Defence Industries Ismail Demir, Commander of the Turkish Fleet Vice Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu and Naval Training and Education Commander Rear Admiral (UH) Kadir Yildiz, it added.
Besides, Aurangzeb will visit Turkey’s Golcuk Naval Base, Istanbul shipyard and various historical sites.
Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operation) Rear Admiral M Makbul Hossain and Naval Administrative Authority Dhaka Commodore M Musa saw the naval chief off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here in the morning.
