Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Army registered wins in their respective matches of the Independence Day Basketball Competition on Wednesday.
In the day’s first match, Bangladesh Navy defeated Bangladesh Air Force by 61-46 points at the Basketball Gymnasium in the city’s Dhanmondi.
In the day’s second match, Bangladesh Army beat Eaglets Club by 63-54 points at the same venue.
Earlier, President of Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) Dr Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin inaugurated the three-day long basketball competition as the chief guest. General Secretary of BBF Lieutenant Commander (Retd) AK Sarkar was present with him at the time.
A total of 12 teams are taking part in the three-day long basketball meet.
The basketball competition will come to an end on Friday.
