Naveed Newaz Head Coach of Young Tigers for more 3 years

Naveed Newaz has been named Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team for more three years. Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team emerged as the champions in the recently concluded ICC Under-19 World Cup Cricket held in South Africa. The Young Tigers clinched the World Cup under supervision of Head Coach Naveed Newaz, the Sri Lanka-born former cricketer.
Neveed was appointed Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team in 2018. Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team gained great achievement under the supervision of this coach. Bangladesh for the first time earned an ICC World Cup, which was the greatest success for Bangladesh in the cricket history of Bangladesh. So, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) decided to appoint Navved Newaz as Head Coach of Young Tigers for more three years.
Chief Executive Officer of BCB Nizamuddin Chowdhury said, ” We have decided that we shall extend the agreements with all the coaching staff, who were related to the success of Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team. They did a good job. They have contribution to earn the World Cup. So, we have extended the agreements with them.”
Naveed Newaz, the player of Sri Lanka Cricket team retired from cricket in the year of 2004.
Naveed Newaz, the 46-year Sri Lanka-born coach was the Batting Coach of Sri Lanka Under-19 Cricket team from 2009 to 2014.
Meanwhile, the BCB has extended the contract with Richard Stonier, the Strength and Conditioning Coach of Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team up to 2020.
