The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will observe the National VAT Day today (Friday) and the VAT Week from July 10-16 for the 5th consecutive year.
The main theme of this year’s National VAT Day and VAT Week is “Pay the VAT timely to participate in the development of the country”.
State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan will launch the Friday’s programme from a colourful rally to be brought
out from the NBR Bhaban at 9 am which will end in front of the National Press Club in the capital.
Like the previous years, the programme of the VAT Day and the VAT Week will also include a discussion to create more awareness among people and businesses about the VAT.
