BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the country is going through a dangerous situation. And to overcome the situation national unity is a must.
He came up with the remarks while speaking at a solidarity rally arranged by Udbhigna Nagorik Samaj (worried civil society) at the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Monday.
“The students have showed us (politicians) the path of unity. Political parties should forge a national unity to overcome the country’s prevailing crisis,” he said.
The BNP secretary general said, “The fascist force is shattering everything. They’re trying to gag the media by attacking journalists. The students have showed us the state is in need of repair.”
He further said, “The students have also opened our eyes. Their movement has shaken all of us. Our boys have brought a scope for us to get united.”
About a case filed against him and two other BNP leaders for allegedly conspiring against the state instigating students, Fakhrul said now cases are not a problem for him as he has been facing 86 cases.
“Even, our some party leaders are facing 150-200 cases. It won’t be possible to resist our voice by filing cases,” he said.
