Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) observed the death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at its auditorium in Rekeya Sarani Campus on Saturday. Prof Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice-Chancellor of the university presided over the program. The discussion meeting was held commemorating the tragedy that occurred on 15 August 1975 leading to the death of Bangabandhu and most of his family members. Later, a prayer was offered for eternal peace of the departed souls.
The different Speakers discussed on different aspects of the “Incomplete Autobiography” of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. As per request of Vice-Chancellor of the University, GUB Reading Society has organized a reading competition among the students of different departments of the University on that autobiography.
In the competition, Department of FTDM, Dept of Law and Dept of Green Business School have ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Vice-Chancellor provided the certificates and crests among the participants. Chairpersons of different departments, Faculty members, officials and students of the University were present on the occasion.
