Nat’l level marketing competition on ‘Idea Hunters 1.0’ held in city

ULAB Digital Marketing Club organised a national level marketing competition titled ‘Idea Hunters 1.0’. The aim of the event was to engage youth of the country to come up with creative plans. Students from all across Bangladesh participated in this competition. The event was sponsored by Priyoshop.com.
The competition was launched officially by AsikulAlam Khan, CEO of Priyoshop.com, on the 1st of August 2020. The competition was conducted online.409 participants from all over the country from multiple institutions took part in the competition.
Alongside,Priyoshop, the event is supported by MindcraftsLabs as Tech Partner and CreativeIT as Skill Development Partner. There were more than 25 club partners for the event.Competition was designed in three rounds with first round took place on the 20th of September 2020 with second and final rounds taking place on 25th and 30th September respectively.
The first round took place with all participating teams , with top 20 qualifying for the second round and top 5 teams qualifying for the final.
The judges for the competition were .Asikul Alam Khan, Chief Executive Officer (Priyoshop), Shah MdJunayed, Media & Digital Lead (Unilever), Khandker Tahmidur Rahman, Digital Media Planner & Strategist (ADA), Salman Zahir, Business Development Specialist, International Finance Corporation. Mr. Syed Apon Ahsan, Managing Director (Digital Expressions Ltd & Director Expressions Ltd) and IreshZaker, Managing Director (Asiatic 360).
The grand finale of Idea Hunters 1.0 was held on the 30th of September, 2020. The final round commenced with a welcome speech from Prof. Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees and Dean of ULAB School of Business. After that, the participants presented their ideas to the honourable judges.
The winning team of the national marketing competition were team ‘Gujob’ from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The first runner up is team Fan Club from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and the second runner up of this competition is team Cavaliers from Institute of Business Administration, (IBA).
All participants of the competition attended six workshops in total, in which Facebook Marketing, Youtube Marketing, Branding and Promotion were taught to them.
