Bangladesh National football team will leave for Bhutan at 9:00 am tomorrow (Friday) to play AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers, Play-off-2 on October 10.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) arranged a press conference over the Bhutan tour on Wednesday at BFF house.
BFF vice president and National teams committee chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Head Coach Tom Saintfiet, team leader Showkat Ali Khan Jahangir and senior forward of Bangladesh team Jahid Hasan Ameli were present on the occasion.
Responding to a question Tom Saintfiet said, “This is a very important match for all of us, we are working together to be successful, it is a must win game. If we will make draw 1-1, we will be satisfied but we must qualify.”
“Our strategy will be the whole team will play a defensive role and we want to score from counter attack, we will not play with blind attack, we will play with good organization and hopefully this time we will score goals,” he added.
“I expect Bhutan to attack, they would try to take home advantage, so we should play as a team” Saintfiet further said.
Jahid Hasan Ameli said, “After long time I come back in the national team and I am so much happy, in the last few weeks we all worked hard, now there are some good players in our team involving senior and junior ones, if we will give our best, hopefully we will gain a good result.”
Earlier, on September 6, Saintfiet’s Bangladesh held to 0-0 draw by Bhutan in Asian Cup Qualifiers Play-Off-1 at home.
