The Agrani Bank Limited 25th National Youth Hockey competition will begin on Wednesday (Apr 15) at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the city.
A total of 36 teams, including districts divisions and institutions, from across the country will compete in the meet, sponsored by Agrani Bank Limited and organised by Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF).
The champions and runners up teams from each group will qualify for the final schedule to be held on April 27 at the same venue.
If the match ends in a draw, then the match result will be decided in direct shootout.
Regarding the hockey meet, a press conference was held on Sunday at the Bangladesh Olympic Association conference room to give all the details of the meet.
Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank Limited Kazi Sanaul Haque, deputy general manager Swakat Ali, BHF treasurer and tournament committee’s acting chairman Kazi Mainuzzaman were present, among others, on the occasion.
