Bangladesh Ansar & VDP emerged the champions in the 2nd Walton National Women’s Softball Competition defeating Bangladesh Police by 19-4 points in the final at the Paltan Maidan on Tuesday. Bangladesh Police finished runners up in the softball meet. Ayesha Akter of Bangladesh Ansar was adjudged the Player of the Tournament. After the final match, veteran sports organiser Farida Akter Begum distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association (BBSA) Aminul Islam Liton, Executive Member of BBSA Azam Ali Khan and Coach of BBSA Talha Bin Jubaer were present at the time.
