Both the semifinals of the EXIM Bank 31st National Women’s Handball competition will be held today at Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Stadium in Narail.
On the day, Bangladesh Ansar will take on Bangladesh Police in the first semifinal at 2.30 pm while Jamalpur District Sports Association (DSA) faces Naogaon DSA in the second semis at 4 pm.
Meanwhile, in the day’s matches, Bangladesh Ansar beat Rangamati DSA by 51-3 goals after leading the first half by 27-2 goals, Jamalpur DSA defeated Madaripur DSA by 36-23 goals after dominating the first half by 15-8 goals and Dhaka DSA outplayed Faridpur DSA by 16-15 goals after leading the first half by 9-6 goals.
By the cooperation of BHF, a total of twelve district and services teams are taking part in the competition, which is being held marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The participating twelve teams are Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, Bangladesh Police Handball Club, Jamalpur, Naogaon, Panchagarh, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rangamati, Dinajpur, Gopalganj, Dhaka and host Narail districts.
