National Women’s Chess kicks off today

The WALTON 38th National Women’s Chess Championship will kick off today (Wednesday) at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room here. FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, senior operative director and head of sports and welfare of WALTON Group, will formally inaugurate the meet as the chief guest. Bangladesh Chess Federation vice president and tournament committee chairman KM Shahidullah will preside over the opening ceremony. It’s an open event for all female and girl chess players and the event will be held in 9 round Swiss-League system.
