Bangladesh Ansar became champions in the Walton 1st National Women’s Baseball Championship defeating Bangladesh Police by 19-5 points in the final at the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhanmondi on Tuesday. Bangladesh Police finished the runners-up in the meet.
After the final match, Head of Sports & Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Adviser of ATN Bangla Colonel (Retd) Mir Motahar Hossain, Chairperson of Joyjatra Foundation Helena Jahangir, veteran sports organizer Farida Begum were with him as special guests. General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton, Joint-Secretary of the Association Nurul Islam Tapu, Japanese Baseball Coach Hiroci Watanabe and Administrator of Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex Ayesha Begum were present at the time.
