The Walton 10th National Taekwondo Competition began at the Gymnasium in National Sports Council on Friday.
Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn inaugurated the Taekwondo meet as the chief guest, while Managing Director and CEO of Agrani Bank Limited Md Shamsul Islam, Joint-Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration Shyama Proshad Bepari were with him as special guests.
Secretary General of Bangladesh International Taekwondo Federation Md Solaiman Sikder presided over the inaugural ceremony.
A number of 110 athletes are taking part in the 19 weight categories.
The participating teams are: Dhaka District team, Munshiganj District team, Shariatpur District team, Barishal District team, Faridpur District team, Cumilla District team, Chattogram District team, Cox’s Bazar District team, Satkhira District team, Narshigdi District team, Nilphamari District team, Pabna District team, Rangpur District team, Lalmonirhat District team, Rajshahi District team, Lalbagh Government Model School & College, Pre-Card School of Savar, Cambrian School & College, Lalmonirhat Government College, BUET, Agrani Bank Taekwondo team, Bashundhara Group Teakwondo team and Bangladesh Ansar.
