BRAC Chicken 1st National Surfing competition begins today (Monday) at the Laboni Point Beach of tourist city Cox’s Bazar.
The two-day competition will be held in three events. Sponsored by BRAC Chicken and organised by Bangladesh Surfing Association (BSA), the events were divided as – beginners (junior), professionals and women’s event.
The champion and runners-up from each event will be given cash award.
In this regard, a press conference was held on Sunday at the Cox’s Bazar Press Club conference room to provide details of the meet.
Beach Management Committee, police and local administration gave all support to the competition make successful.
BSA president FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, general secretary Mowazzem Hossain Chowdhury and treasurer Aminul Islam Liton were, among others, present on the occasion.
