The 38th National Senior Table Tennis (TT) Championship begins today (Saturday) at Shahaeed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell MP is expected to inaugurate the five-day meet as the chief guest, sponsored by Wistom Attire and co. sponsored by BKMEE.
Bangladesh Olympic Association Deputy Secretary General Ashiqur Rahman Miku will present as the special guest.
Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) Khandakar Hasan Munir will
preside over the opening ceremony
A total 260 players from 44 teams including 13 female teams from 35 districts, four divisions, three services teams and two universities are taking part in the championship, organised by Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF).
The championship will be held in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles events.
The budget of the championship has been estimated to near about ten lac to run the championship. The champions and runners-up teams will be given trophy and medal.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Friday at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium to provide all the details of the meet.
BTTF vice president Khandoker Hasan Munir, BTTF member secretary Ahsan Ahmed Amit, were among others, present in the press conference.
