The 37th National senior Table Tennis Championship will be beginning on Tuesday (October 24) at Shaheed Tajuddin Wooden Floor gymnasium in the city with the participation of 45 teams.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed is expected to inaugurate the six-day meet as chief guest.
A total of 240 players – 180 of men’s and 40 of women’s – will participate in the seven events of the meet.
The events are men’s team event, women’s team event, men’s singles, women’s singles men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
The budget of the competition has been estimated at Taka 9,60,000.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Sunday at conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation to provide all the details of the meet.
Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) vice presidents Jahangir Alam and Saidul Haque Sadi, BTTF general secretary Khandakar Hasan Munir, BTTF executive committee and tournament committee’s secretary Ahasan Ahmed Amit and tourmant committee’s secretary Anwar Kabir Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
