National School Football begins on September 24

The Islami Bank National School Football Tournament begins in Khulna on September 24. Bangladesh Football Federation will arrange the football competition under auspices of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. Ministry of Education will supervise the football meet.
The first phase of the matches of the tournament will be held in seven divisions and Dhaka Metropolitan Area. The first round of the matches will be taken place in Khulna division, Barisal division, Rajshahi division, Rangpur division, Sylhet division, Chittagong division, Dhaka division and Dhaka Metropolitan Area.
A total of 5400 schools from 540 upazilas will take part in the gala extravaganza. The matches of the upazila level will be held in knock-out basis. The champions of the each upazila will play in the district level. The matches of the district, division and final phase will be held in round robin league basis.
To mark the school football meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Sunday.
Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary of BFF Abu Nayeem Md Shohag, Senior Assistant Secretary of Education Ministry Abu Kaisar Khan, Member of the Executive Committee of BFF Elias Hossain were present at the conference, among others.
This is for the second time the tournament is going to be held.
Every match will be a ninety-minute affair. If the stipulated time of a match ended in a draw, then the fate of the match will be decided in the tie-breaker.
