National Rugby Competition begins today

The Walton National Rugby (Men’s & Women’s) Competition begins today at the Paltan Maidan.
Bangladesh Rugby Federation will arrange the rugby meet under auspices of Walton.
To mark the ensuing rugby meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation Mousum Ali, Secretary of the Tournament Committee (Men’s Division) Sayeed Ahmed, Secretary of the Tournament Committee (Women’s Division) Parvin Putul were present at the conference.
A total of 11 teams will take part in the rugby competition for men. They are: Bangladesh Army, Bagerhat district team, Faridpur district team, Narail district team, Madaripur district team, Chittagong district team, Munshiganj district team, Sirajganj district team, Gazipur district team, Dhaka district team and Rangpur district team.
A number of four teams will participate in the rugby tournament for women. They are: Dhaka district team, Rangpur district team, Narail district team and Munshiganj district team.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will inaugurate the meet today as the chief guest while First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn will be with him as the special guest.
