The National Road Safety Day was observed in the port city Chittagong on Sunday. Chittagong district administration, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Nirapod Sharok Chai, a social organization have jointly bring colorful procession and held rally in observance of the day.
The speakers at the rally called upon the drivers to be careful while driving the vehicles to decrease the rate of road accidents. They also called upon the law enforcers to ensure a modern traffic system on the roads of Chittagong as well as Bangladesh. The rally that was held at Muslim Hall in the port city was chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Masudur Rahman. The function was inaugurated by the divisional Commissioner of Chittagong Abdul Mannan.
