The National Road Safety Day was observed in the country on Friday.
This year’s theme of the day is ” Let us abide by speed limit, prevent road accident”.
BRTA including District Administration in Kishoreganj arranged a discussion, rally and documentary film marking the day.
A discussion meeting was held at local Collectorate Conference room on Friday morning.
ADC (Edu.& Ict) in Kishoreganj Golam Mostafa presided over.
Additional SP Anairban Chowdhury and RHD executive engineer Ritish Bourua attended as special guest.
It was addressed among others by Assistant Director (AD) of BRTA Md.Baktieruddin, Bar Association President &;PP Advocate Shah Azizul Haque, Chamber president Mujibur Rahman Belal, CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito, District Press Club president Mostafa Kamal, Transport Owners Association member secretary Sheikh Farid, Traffic Inspector Md.Shajahan, Transport workers union President Abdul Quaium.
ADC Golam Mostafa said the number of vehicles on streets is rapidly increasing with the increase of developed road infrastructure in Bangladesh.
