The National Road Safety Day-2020 was observed in the country on Thursday aiming to create awareness about safe roads.
This Slogan of this year’s day is livelihood not before life, no more road accident.
Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Kishoreganj district administration arranged a discussion, handbills distribution and training program marking the day.
Deputy Commissioner ( DC) Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury opend this programmes.
A discussion in virtual platform was held at local collectorate on Thursday morning with DC Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury in the chair.
It was addressed among others by ADM Abdullah-al–Masud, Civil Surgeon Dr.Mujibur Rahman, Executive Engineer of RHD Rasedul Islam, Additional SP Mizanur Rahman,CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Women leader Bilkis Begum, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Transport Association leader Sheikh Farid , Chamber of Commerce Vice-president Hafez Md.Khalequzzaman , BRTA Assistant Director Engineer Md.Baktierudfin and Inspector Faiyez .
DC Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury said road safety is not the responsibility of the government or drivers alone, it is function of all.
