It is our pride that Kazi Nazrul Islam, one of the greatest poets of the world, is our National Poet. This is also our honour that his literature championed the cause of humanity, reflected humanistic ideals and stood for universal humanism. His revolutionary writings contributed much in breaking the chains of domination of the British. His contribution to our War of Liberation is also highly honoured by the nation. Nazrul’s writings against all sorts of inhuman deprivation and exploitation to create a society of equality, fraternity and equity guides our thought of economic emancipation. In quantity and quality Kazi Nazrul Islam is one of the best composers of the world and in some criterions, he is unique to rule through ages.
Nazrul Academy and Nazrul Academy Patrika has long been contributing to uphold the thoughts and message of the poet to our readers nationally including the foreign readers. The research-based journal has been disseminating the thought of the poet to create a better world of universal humanism. Its approach is positive in the context of the so-called evaluation of some vested quarters and critics to undermine the poet’s great image.
