The National Mourning Day was observed in the port city Chittagong with due respect and solidarity.
The speakers at the programs of national mourning day have stressed on realizing the ideology and sprit of the liberation war of 1971 and its leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
They said, Bangabandhu and the freedom fighters had dreamt of a democratic, socialist, and non-communal rich Bangladesh. They dedicated their golden periods of their lives for a golden Bangladesh. So, all should work for the realization of the ideology and sprit of the liberation war of 1971 and its leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The speakers also said that the real Awami Leaguers should be alert about the new comer in the party who are beneficiary and belonging to Jamaat-e- Islami. The Chittagong City Awami League (AL) held a rally at Darul Fazal Market’s office in this connection in the morning. Vice-president of Chittagong City AL A K M Belayet Hossain presided over the rally.
