The 42nd martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day was celebrated with solemnity , honor and respect in Rampal Upazilla on Tuesday .
 To celebrate the day , Rampal Upazilla Administration chalked out an elaborate program . A mourning rally was brought out at 8.30 a.m. in the morning that paraded Rampal Bazar.
After that a discussion meeting was held at Rampal Upazilla Auditorium at 9 a.m. Being presided over by the UNO of Rampal Upazilla Tushar Kumar Paul, Upazilla Chairman was present there as chief guest and Upazilla Vice Chairman Sk. Moajjem Hossain was present there as special guest. Deputy District Muktijoddha Commander Sk. Abdul Zalil, Ex-upazilla Vice Chairman Hamim Nuri , Jubo League President Nurul Haque Lipon , Chatraleague President Sk. Hafizur Rahman , Secretary Sk. Saadi delivered an important speech on the discussion meeting.
 The speakers urged to the government to bring back home all the fugitive killers of Bongabandhu Sk. Mujibur Rahman and execute the court verdict without delay. The Upazilla Administration arranged Milad Mahfil for the departed souls in different mosques of the Upazilla. Besides, all the educational institutions arranged separate program to celebrate the day in the Upazilla. Mourning Day was also celebrated in Rampal College organized by Rampal College Administration .
Bogra Correspondent adds: The National Mourning Day was celebrated with befitting manner in Bogra district on Tuesday. Mourning procession and discussions were held on this occasion demanding quick punishment to rest of the killers of Bangabandhu.
In the morning, Nure Alam Siddque, DC, Bogra ceremonially hoisted the national flag at half-mast in presence of all officials of district administration at Bogra Zila School ground. Mr.Asadujjaman,Police super Bogra was present at that time.
The day’s programme began with the placing of floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu to pay tributes to him. One minute silence also observed .Officials of different govt and non-govt offices, renowned citizens of the district, students and teachers of different institutions, political personalities were attended the program.
Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj reports: The National Mourning Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Tuesday with various programmes.
Kishoreganj District Administration, ruling Awami League, Jasod, Ganatantree Party, CPB, Gono Forum, NAP and many socio-cultural organizations observed the Day.
The day’s programme started with the hoisting of National flag at half-mast and raising of flack flags atop all public and private building. A discussion meeting arranged by District Administration held at Govt. Gurudayal College Auditorium in the town on Tuesday with Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas in the chair. Dilara Begum Asma M.P attented as Chief Guest.
It was addressed among others by Police Super Anowar Hossain Khan, Zila Parished Chairman Adovcate Zillur Rahman, Govt. Gurudayal College Principal Professor Ram Chandra Roy, Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, District Awami League President Advocate Kamrul Hasan Shajahan, General Secretary Advocate M.A Afzal, ADC (Gen) Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Ganatantry Party District President Adv Dolon Bhowmic, G.P Adv Bijoy Shankar Roy, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Advocate Ataur Rahman, Kishoreanj Press Club President Kazi Shaheen Khan, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Women Leader Bilkis Begum, Journalist Sakauddin Ahmed Rajon and Sadar UNO Abdullah Al Masud.
Netrakona Correspondent adds: People from all walks of life irrespective of cast, creed and religion observed National Mourning Day with paying glowing tributes to the memories of Bangabandhu, who was the architect of independence.
The district administration, Awami League and it’s front organizations, professional groups, educational institutions and different socio-cultural organizations took separate programs to observe the Day.
The day’s programs were formally started with placing of floral wreaths at the portrait of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by deputy commissioner Netrakona Dr Musfiqur Rahman and Police Super Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhory in the morning. They were followed by public representatives including chairman of Netrakona Zila Parishad Prasanta Ray and Mayor of Netrakona Pourasava Nazrul Islam Khan and AL leaders including president of district AL Motiur Rahman Khan, General Secretary of District AL and freedom fighter Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, Commander of district Muktizodda sangsad Nurul Amin and leaders of different socio-cultural and professional organizations
Sylhet Correspondent adds: People of Sylhet and its adjoining districts observed the National Mourning Day with due solemnity on Tuesday .
The Day was observed with a fresh vow to materialize the dreams of Bangabandhu to build a ‘Sonar Bangla’ and to bring back the fugitive convicted killers of Bangabandhu to execute verdict of the murder case.
Various government and non-government organisations, political parties, socio-cultural organisations and educational institutions, including SUST , Metropoliton, Leading ,SIU ,Northeast observed the day in a befitting manner. The district administration organised a discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil at the Nazrul Auditorium with Deputy Commissioner Rahat Anwar in the chair.Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Najmunara Khanum attended the programme as a Chief Guest.
 Gouripur( Mymensingh) Correspondebt adds: the 42nd Martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed with befitting manner in Gouripur Upazila of Mymensingh district on Tuesday . Apart from the ruling Awami League , Gouripur Upazila unit and its front and associated bodies, different political, socio-cultural and educational organisations chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day with due respect and wide community participation
Dupchanchia (Bogra) Correspondent adds: A two- hours long free medical camp and free medicine distribution programme was held at Dupchanchia Hamdard branch of Bogra district with paying rich tribute to Bangabandhu on Tuesday.
A total 42 poor and marginal patients coming from different villages of the upazila have been given Medicare service and necessary medicine like syrup Cinkara, Syrup Alvasin and Syrup Carmina with assistance of duty Hakim Shahida Khatun from 10 AM to 12 PM at its branch premises.
